Hours: 1 to 2 hours per week

The Social Media Officer will be responsible for managing and growing the club’s presence across digital platforms. This role plays a key part in promoting club activities, engaging current and prospective members, celebrating achievements, and building a vibrant online community around the club. They play a crucial role in engaging all club members in the club's social media content and in gathering pictures and videos from them. 

• Manage content across our three social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Clubzap).

• Set up and organise a WhatsApp/clubzap group to gather photos/videos of matches, events and training sessionsfrom players and coaches. (Remind them to take Pictures/ Videos of games)

• Create engaging content: graphics, match previews, player features, etc.

• Promote club news, match results, fundraising efforts, and social events.

• Respond or forward messages in a timely and friendly manner.

• Uphold the club’s tone, image, and values in all communications, including club sponsors where appropriate.

• Engage with other clubs, accounts and Irish hockey content 

• Maintain a folder of pictures of players and teams to use for post

• Club weekend Fixtures

• Club Results after matches

• Junior Club Post Roundup

• Calendar for month - social events, fundraisers, AGMs, key matches, Irish Hockey Games

• Social content - Player profile, historic photograph, birthday post, etc (1 a month)

• Cup Games - Team Lineup
